Turtle Wing Foundation Hosts Back-to-School Pool Party For Current & Prospective Families

Most area schools have been back in session for almost a month now, and the post-summer blues are starting to kick in for students who miss the carefree days of summer. Turtle Wing Foundation is offering a reprieve with their annual Family Pool Party which will be held on Sunday, September 15 from 2-5 PM at Frisch Auf! Country Club pool (575 Country Club Drive, La Grange). All families who utilize any of Turtle Wing’s services are invited. Turtle Wing programming includes Early Intervention, Supplemental Services, and Community Education and Advocacy. In 2018, Turtle Wing helped to provide direct services to 325 children, with thousands more being impacted by their outreach programming. The recipients have all been from Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca, and surrounding counties with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs. Families who would like to attend the pool party should RSVP to or call the office at (979)505-5090. Snacks and drinks will be provided. New families who would like to learn more about Turtle Wing and if it might be able to be of assistance for their child are also encouraged to attend. All children receiving services whose family RSVP’s and attends will receive a free Turtle Wing Foundation t-shirt. The mission of Turtle Wing Foundation is “helping children with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential.” To learn more about Turtle Wing Foundation visit or follow them on Facebook at @turtlewingfoundation.
