DCP Midstream Donates to Turtle Wing Foundation

DCP Midstream is a Midstream Gas Company with facilities ranging from Colorado to the Gulf Coast. Recently DCP Midstream has implemented a program to donate to organizations that meet certain criteria that are location in the geographical area of our facilities. This program is run by the Community Connections Committee (CCC). Notices were sent out to all employees asking for nominees for the program. The committee then reviewed all organizations submitted for eligibility and meeting one of the three pillars of community building (Health, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), Love Of Country). The committee then met and voted on what organizations should receive the donations. This is the first year of this program and the Community Connections Committee of the Southern Business Unit and NGL Group of DCP made donations totaling $20,000 to 18 organizations. DCP Representatives then hand delivering the donations to the recipients in December. Chris Henke, Principal Engineer, and Dawn Jansky, Sr. Administrative Assistant, made the presentation of $1,000 to the Turtle Wing Foundation. Turtle Wing Foundation’s mission is “helping children with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential.” They have been providing Early Intervention, Supplemental Services and Community Education & Advocacy programming to children and families with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs since 2012 in Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca and surrounding counties. Annually, over 325 children are receiving direct services with thousands more benefiting indirectly through education and advocacy work.
