Best Buddies Day was created to celebrate the gift of friendship. It is officially celebrated on November 13th, which is also National Kindness Day, but Schulenburg Elementary observed it on Friday, November 12th. Thank you to everyone that bought a Best Buddies Forever book, that was written and illustrated by the SES GT students. The 4th grade GT students were able to present Turtle Wing Foundation with a $1,000 check to our “Best Buddies” as a thank you for all the support they give our school and community. Turtle Wing Foundation’s mission is helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential by providing access to a shared network of emotional, education, and therapeutic resources. Turtle Wing will utilize these funds to help support programming such as Early Intervention, Supplemental Services and Community Education & Advocacy. Turtle Wing supports individuals and families primarily from Colorado, Fayette, and Lavaca counties with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs. To learn more about Turtle Wing Foundation follow them on Facebook @turtlewingfoundation, visit www.turtlewingfoundation.org or contact Executive Director, Destiny Psencik, at 979-505-5090.

annual campaigns
The month of April is the Make our Match Campaign. For every dollar we raise during this time frame, Chuck Brown Ford will match that amount up to $5000. This campaign was started in 2018 and has been a huge success.
We want to thank Chuck Brown Ford for all their support and to everyone that donates to the make or match campaign.
