It’s time to break out your costume ideas and welcome in the Fall with family fun at the 9th Annual Turtle Wing Foundation Monster Dash. This year it will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, with activities happening at Jack & Mary’s (610 Lyons Ave., Schulenburg) or on Anderson Street just south of their yard. There is no charge for any of the fun! Costume Contest. Boo Around the Block, and the Dash itself are all free of charge!
Monster Dash Timeline:
4:30 PM Check-in for Boo Around the Block
(organizations and businesses can still sign up!)
5:00 PM Boo Around the Block begins along with Costume Contest judging, Monster
Dash heats, food, music, and silent auction.
6:15 PM On Pointe Dance Studio performance
6:30 PM Costume contest winners announced along with silent auction and Dash winners
7:00 PM Monster Dash concludes
It would be appreciated if businesses, families and clubs who want to set up for Boo Around the Block to hand out goodies to the trick-or-treaters would pre-register. To do so contact Darla Kubala at (979)249-7171 or there are forms at the Turtle Wing office (1203 Kessler Ave., suite 201, Schulenburg). Turtle Wing Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization which helps children with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs. Their service area includes Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca and surrounding counties. Turtle Wing provided Early Intervention and Supplemental Services to 300 children last year with thousands more being impacted by Community Education & Advocacy programming.
