Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Sacred Heart of Mother Teresa #2570 Donates to Turtle Wing

Formed in 1903, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas. Under the patronage of the Blessed Mother, the Catholic Daughters of the Americas are united by their faith in Jesus Christ, in the devotion to the church and the Holy See. They donate to charities, administer scholarship programs and strive “to be helping hands where there is pain, poverty, sorrow or sickness.” One of the most recent charities the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Sacred Heart of Mother Teresa #2570 chose to assist is Turtle Wing Foundation. Turtle Wing is in its eighth year of providing support to children with learning challenges in rural areas with the goal of helping them achieve their full potential. This is only possible due to the generosity of individuals, businesses and community groups that have supported Turtle Wing from its inception. CDA #2570 donated $250 to Turtle Wing who will utilize these funds to help support programming such as Early Intervention, Supplemental Services and Community Education & Advocacy. Turtle Wing supports individuals and families primarily from Colorado, Fayette, and Lavaca counties with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs.
