Turtle Wing Announces #GivingWingsDay

Celebrated on the Tuesday following U.S. Thanksgiving, and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, #GivingTuesday inspires millions of people across the globe to show up and give back to causes and issues that matter to them. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day and touches every person on the planet. #GivingTuesday takes place on November 30, 2021 this year.

#GivingTuesday is a movement that unleashes the power of radical generosity around the world.

#GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, it has grown into a global movement. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

Turtle Wing Foundation has branded their #GivingTuesday campaign this year #GivingWingsDay. Anyone wishing to support this effort can donate directly on Facebook, potentially tripling their donation. This is due to a local $10,000 match, including $5,000 contributed by J Bar B Foods. To help raise awareness of charitable causes and encourage donors’ generosity, Meta will match $8 million USD in qualifying donations made on.Facebook. The Meta match begins at 7 AM CST, and will end once fully distributed, which happens quickly. This means the earlier you donate, the more likely it is for the match to be tripled. Facebook will once again waive processing fees on this day. A second option is for supporters to set up their own fundraiser through their personal Facebook page. Anyone interested in doing so visit https://www.facebook.com/fund/turtlewingfoundation/ and follow simple steps to create a Facebook fundraiser that in turn they can share with their friends on #GivingTuesday. Creating a fundraiser is easy and Turtle Wing welcomes fundraiser support at any goal amount.

Turtle Wing has been providing Early Intervention, Supplemental Services and Community Education & Advocacy programming to individuals from Colorado, Fayette, Lavaca and surrounding counties with academic, social-emotional, behavioral and/or developmental needs since 2012.
